November 2012, before that I was at Suncorp Bank for 14 years
What is your role at Rural Insurance Services and what does a typical day look like for you?
I am an Account Manager and my main responsibility is looking after the farm policies. I work on renewals, contacting our clients, making changes to existing policies, and quoting for new businesses.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I really enjoy speaking with our clients – well most of them ?
What makes Rural Insurance Services
special in comparison to other places you’ve worked?
Definitely the Team work. We can be honest and open with each other.
What is your proudest moment at Rural Insurance Services?
Understanding the policy wording!
What book did you read last? What did you like/dislike about it?
The last book I read was the Cross Stitch series – known as the Outlander series on Netflix. I loved learning about the history of Scotland & France. I highly recommend this one.
What is the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Working as a kitchen hand on Lady Elliot Island, off the coast of Bundaberg. I learned to snorkel, scuba dive, not to mention learning how to make a mean omelette.
